Desiree and I just returned from my best friend Rachel's bachelorette party in Denver, and we had an INCREDIBLE time! Her Maid of Honor, Joanna, created an amazing itinerary and kindly allowed me to share it here. Most of it is outlined below, with a few additions of things we wish we had time for. This itinerary is designed for four full days in Denver. For the best experience, I recommend arriving the night before the first day to maximize your time, and either take a red-eye flight out on the fourth day or leave early the following day.
Before diving into this, I should mention we stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown Convention Center. There were a lot of great rental home options, but we had people flying in and out and different days, which made it difficult to figure out timeframes for the house.. so we opted for the hotel! As anyone knows me knows, I am a Hilton fiend (Diamond member, baby!) so I will always be happy to choose a Hilton! This Embassy Suites was in an ideal location that was pretty walkable to most places we went to. You can go wrong with a free happy hour and breakfast, either!
With that said, let's dive into the itinerary!
Day 1
Morning | Breakfast at hotel |
Afternoon | Walk around the Union Station area and get familiar with it. Have lunch at Wynkoop Brewing Company. After that, head back to the hotel to rest/get ready for a show at the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. |
Evening | Enjoy dinner and happy hour at Thirsty Lion, which has a roundtrip shuttle to Red Rocks for $60! Be sure to book your tickets ahead of time. You get 15% off your tab there if you book the shuttle with them, too! Then enjoy the show at Red Rocks (depending on the show, you may need to get your tickets for it ahead of time). |
Day 2
Morning | |
Afternoon | Visit Meow Wolf at Convergence Station |
Evening | Pre-dinner drinks at 54thirty Rooftop and then head to a reserved dinner at Happy Camper |
After Party | Go out in the LoDo area for the night! |
Day 3
Morning | Brunch at Ophelia's Electric Soapbox (make reservation beforehand) |
Afternoon | Have a relaxed day and explore other parts of Denver you haven't seen yet, maybe visit the Farmer's Market and other activities around Union Station. You could also catch a football or baseball game depending on the time of year you go. |
Evening | Have a small bite to eat somewhere and then head to your reservation at Clocktower Caberet for a night filled with burlesque, small plates and fancy drinks! |
After Party | The night isn't over! Go to Garage Sale Vintage for fun drinks and some random shopping. After, end the night with some dancing at Disco Pig. |
Day 4
Morning | Grab a quick bite to eat and get ready for a day in the Rockies! |
Afternoon | Rent a car or take a tour of Estes Park (featuring the famous Stanley Hotel) and then drive around Rocky Mountain National Park. If you are driving on your own, you will need to reserve your timed entry. |
And there you have it! Interested in seeing more details on the restaurants mentioned above? Stay tuned - that blog post is coming soon.

I have one last thing I want to mention: Plan to do this trip with good people. I didn't know everyone going into this trip, but left Denver with new friends and memories I'll never forget. I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time, and it was just amazing to see the people Rachel brought together - we all just meshed so well. The people you choose to travel with truly make a difference, and this trip was a wonderful reminder of that!
